The Las Vegas Raiders are donating $25 million to Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Health to help fund the construction of Nevada’s first stand-alone pediatric hospital.
Raiders owners Mark Davis, Egon Durban and Michael Meldman each contributed $5 million, and the team added another $10 million, marking the largest philanthropic commitment in franchise history, according to an Aug. 24 news release from the NFL team.
The 828,000-square-foot hospital will sit on a 33-acre campus at the UNLV Harry Reid Research and Technology Park, with 180 patient beds and room to expand, according to the release. It will include a pediatric emergency department, outpatient center, inpatient units and specialty care. Construction on Intermountain Health Nevada Children’s Hospital is expected to begin in the coming months with a planned opening in 2030.
In recognition of the gift, the hospital will name its physical therapy and rehabilitation space, its bistro and its inpatient rehab gym after the Raiders.
Intermountain has been the Raiders’ official healthcare partner since 2019.
