Indiana system to open new hospital in August

Batesville, Ind.-based Margaret Mary Health will open a $125 million replacement hospital in Batesville Aug. 8, according to the system’s website

The Six Pine Ranch campus was expected to open June 6, but was pushed back due to a construction-related flooring issue. Margaret Mary Health shared plans to build the hospital in late July 2023. 

Phase 1 of the campus expansion is expected to cost $115 million, according to the system’s website

The 125,000-square-foot facility will comprise emergency, surgical and maternity services, an imaging center, a lab, inpatient care, cardiac rehab and a sleep clinic. 

Margaret Mary Health is a nonprofit, critical access hospital that comprises four health centers. It has nearly 800 employees, according to its website
