Richmond, Ind.-based Reid Health broke ground on a new hospital in Connersville, Ind., ABC affiliate WRTV reported Oct. 19.
The new facility will include a helipad, infusion services, a sleep lab and rehab, primary and specialty care physicians.
A state health assessment found that Fayette County, where the hospital will be located, is experiencing a shortage of primary care physicians, dentists and mental health services, according to the news outlet.
It is slated to open in 2024.
