HealthPartners moves forward with $400M campus

Bloomington, Minn.-based HealthPartners is moving forward with plans to build a $400 million hospital in Stillwater, Minn., Minneapolis Business Journal reported Nov. 17.

The health system had been planning the campus for years but put the project on hold in 2019 and was delayed longer by the COVID-19 pandemic. HealthParners has tapped a design and engineering partner for the project. Currently, the health system has a 97-bed hospital in nearby Lakeview.

Lakeview Hospital President Brandi Lunneborg said that the new project is needed to meet increased patient volume since the COVID-19 pandemic. The hospital is set to open in late 2027 or early 2028.
