HCA Florida Ocala Hospital is planning a nearly $200 million expansion to add a new patient tower and expand surgical services.
Four notes:
1. The project will add 62 private care rooms, bringing the hospital system to 647 patient care beds, according to an April 10 hospital news release shared with Becker’s.
2. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2026 and is expected to create more than 70 healthcare positions.
3. Plans include a new 16-bed ICU, bringing the system to more than 100 ICU beds, and two additional 26-bed medical-surgical and telemetry units. The tower is designed to accommodate up to seven floors.
4. The expansion also includes new operating rooms, additional recovery space and upgrades to clinical infrastructure. An 806-spot parking garage will be built to support campus access.
