Additions include a 21-bed inpatient unit, bringing the hospital’s overall patient capacity to 161 acute care beds. The hospital also renovated two of its medical floors and its kitchen.
The roof of the hospital was also replaced, and two observation rooms were turned into full- service patient rooms.
“Our goal is not only to improve patient access and care, but to also modernize and improve our hospital campus for our patients, visitors and staff,” Blake Watts, CEO of Piedmont Rockdale Hospital, told the publication. “As our community grows, we need to ensure that we’re adapting.”
