Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger has received a $1.25 million commitment from the Better Together Fund, established by First Quality Enterprises, a Pennsylvania-based manufacturer of personal care and healthcare products, The Lock Haven Express reported April 4.
The gift, payable over five years, will support healthcare initiatives at Lewistown (Pa.) Hospital and Geisinger (Pa.) Jersey Shore Hospital.
The funding will be used to strengthen care delivery and expand access to high-quality, patient-centered services at both hospitals, ensuring residents in these rural communities can receive care close to home, according to the report.
“By supporting Geisinger, the Better Together Fund established by First Quality is helping us advance critical priorities at both hospitals, improving access to care and continuing to meet the evolving healthcare needs of patients throughout Clinton and Mifflin counties,” said Tammy Anderer, chief administrative officer for both hospitals.
