Garage construction issue will not delay opening of $800M New Jersey hospital

A “settling issue” during the construction of the parking garage on the $800 million Paramus, N.J.-based Valley Hospital project will not delay the opening, northjersey.com reported Dec. 21.

Workers are fixing the issue of the 1,500-space garage, which is set to welcome patients alongside the hospital by the end of 2023. The seven-story hospital’s construction is financed through a combination of bonds and philanthropy.

Erin Blake, a spokesperson for the hospital, told northjersey.com that the issue was affecting “several of the footings for the parking structure” but the hospital building itself is unaffected.
