Menomonee Falls, Wis.-based Froedtert ThedaCare opened its $84 million, ThedaCare Medical Center – Oshkosh (Wis.) on Jan. 19, according to a news release shared with Becker’s.
The 114,000-square-foot facility comprises 24/7 emergency care, inpatient care, outpatient surgery, primary care, pediatrics, specialty care, a drive-thru retail pharmacy and imaging services including CT and X-ray.
ThedaCare broke ground on the campus in March 2024. The hospital will create around 60 new jobs in the area, which is expected to grow.
“Most of the patient population and the population of Oshkosh lives east of Interstate 41, with health care services primarily west of I-41,” Jenny Nikolai, vice president of ThedaCare Medical Centers-Fond du Lac and Oshkosh, said in the release. “That historically has left our population on the east side more than 15 minutes away from care that they may need. We know in an emergency that time matters and minutes count. Providing healthcare services close to home where over 73% of the population lives and works, allows us to meet their needs more quickly.”
