The couple have been long-term philanthropic supporters of the Rochester, Minn.-based health system. Mr. Marriott served as chair of Mayo’s inaugural fundraising campaign, which concluded in 2009, according to a May 16 Mayo news release.
The new six-story, 70-bed hospital is set to be open in 2024.
