Entrepreneur Jared Isaacman has committed $30 million to three Pennsylvania health systems to support pediatric care, emergency services and facility expansion.
Four notes:
1. The recipients are Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Pittsburgh-based UPMC Children’s Hospital Foundation, and Sayre-based Guthrie, according to a Jan. 22 joint news release.
2. At Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, the gift will fund renovations and growth at the Brandywine Valley Specialty Care and Surgery Center, which will be named in Mr. Isaacman’s honor. The project is scheduled for completion in late 2026.
3. The donation to UPMC Children’s Hospital Foundation will support the expansion of the UPMC Children’s Heart Institute. The new facility will consolidate services and offer advanced medical technology and specialized staff in one location.
4. Mr. Isaacman’s contribution to Guthrie Clinic will strengthen emergency services across north-central Pennsylvania, including expanded staffing and infrastructure improvements.
