Credit union branch opens inside New York hospital

Port Jefferson, N.Y.-based St. Charles Hospital is opening a “micro” credit union inside its facility for hospital employees and families of patients, Long Island Business News reported Oct. 19.

The site is operated by Suffolk Credit Union. The micro-credit union builds off an existing partnership between Suffolk Credit Union and St. Charles Hospital. 

Hospital employees can interact with a live credit union employee via video at the site.
