Irving, Texas-based Christus Health broke ground April 22 on an $84 million hospital in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
The more than 450,000-square-foot, 75-bed facility will offer cardiology, oncology, emergency care, family medicine, gynecology, neurosurgery, pediatrics and specialized clinics, according to an April 22 news release.
Among the technology offerings are a virtual assistant for obstetric nursing, post-surgical pain prediction and control algorithms, and artificial intelligence for chest and breast imaging analysis.
The facility is expected to employ 250 people and is set to open in 2028.
