The new facility will replace the aging CHI Memorial Hospital Georgia in Fort Oglethorpe. It will house inpatient beds, an intensive care unit, an emergency department and operating rooms.
The health system plans to break ground on the facility in spring of 2022. It is slated to open in mid-2024.
The CHI Memorial Hospital Georgia in Fort Oglethorpe will remain open and operational until the new facility opens.
