The Centurion Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, completed the purchase of Northlake Mall in suburban Atlanta for $95 million on July 15, which will transform the mall and an adjacent building into a new Northlake Campus for Atlanta-based Emory Healthcare.
Emory has held space at Northlake Mall since 2019, where the system leased approximately 274,000 square feet, according to a July 15 Centurion Foundation news release.
Under the agreement with Centurion, Emory will lease the entire property and expand its footprint on the campus. Centurion also has approval to offer added financing to support the campus’s development to provide Emory long-term flexibility.
“This significant step in a transformative project demonstrates that our mission-oriented real estate model and expertise truly deliver for our nonprofit clients and the communities they serve,” Ben Mingle, CEO and chairman of Centurion Foundation, said in the release.
Becker’s has reached out to Emory Healthcare for comment and will update this story should more information become available.
