Greenville, S.C.-based Bon Secours St. Francis is opening a new $23 million freestanding emergency department March 5 in Five Forks, S.C.
The 12,500-square-foot facility will have nine exam rooms, including a dedicated trauma room, along with on-site CT and X-ray imaging, according to a Feb. 25 news release shared with Becker’s.
The freestanding emergency department is Bon Secours St. Francis’ second. Its first, located in Simpsonville, S.C., opened in 2022.
“As Greenville County continues to grow, we’re committed to meeting people where they are and bringing high-quality emergency care closer to home so families don’t have to travel far during critical moments,” Matt Caldwell, president of Bon Secours St. Francis Health System, said in the release.
Bon Secours St. Francis is part of Cincinnati-based Bon Secours Mercy Health.
