The hospital has gone without the women’s health services for about six months due to issues retaining physicians and nurses, according to the report.
The letter was sent to Gilbert Vallejos, president of the Las Vegas (N.M.) Health Trust, a nonprofit responsible for addressing community healthcare needs, and to Chris Wolf, CEO of the hospital. Attorney General Balderas wrote that the gap in care was unacceptable and asked for details of a plan to fill the gap, according to the report.
