Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based AdventHealth has launched a more than $1 billion transformation plan at its flagship campus in Orlando, including a new patient tower and expanded services.
Here are four things to know:
1. As part of its largest healthcare investment in Central Florida, AdventHealth Orlando will build a patient and surgical tower, set to open in 2030. The facility will include 440 inpatient beds, 24 operating rooms and endoscopy and imaging services, according to a May 14 news release.
2. The project will also include expanded residency and fellowship programs. AdventHealth Orlando has 24 accredited programs with 358 residents and fellows, with plans to grow to 33 programs with 467 positions by 2029.
3. AdventHealth Orlando is also investing in a new simulation center to advance healthcare workforce training. The system aims to recruit 2,000 students in 2025 and 3,000 by 2030, according to the release.
4. AdventHealth Orlando plans to host conferences and attract top talent and business partners from across the world, campus CEO Rob Deininger said in the release.
