Broward said it wants to partner with Hollywood, Fla.-based Memorial Healthcare System to build a hospital on land it owns in a more central area of Sunrise, according to the newspaper.
Both Broward and Memorial are public health systems, bringing together “the best of both worlds” — the North and South Broward hospital districts, Broward Health’s CEO told the Sun Sentinel.
Broward’s plan would include about 150 beds and several ancillary medical services.
