New York City Hospitals Take in Patients Evacuated From NYU Langone

New York City hospitals have accepted patients from NYU Langone Medical Center in New York City following the hospital's evacuation due to flooding from Hurricane Sandy, according to an NBC News report.

NYU Langone announced it safely transferred all 300 patients from the medical center to nearby hospitals by 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Ninety-three patients were transferred to hospitals in the Great Neck, N.Y.-based North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System. Nineteen NYU Langone patients were transferred to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. Critically ill patients were transferred to NewYork Presbyterian Hospital's two campuses in New York City.

The Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City announced it took in 64 NYU Langone patients.
