Mountain States Health Alliance Saves $650M Though Capacity-Improving Transfer Center

Mountain States Health Alliance, a 13-hospital health system based out of Johnson City, Tenn., has announced net revenue contribution margin totals of more than $650 million since 1995 as a result of implementing a transfer center to improve patient flow, according to patient flow-improvement software company Central Logic.

Implementing a transfer center — and later implementing software solutions to streamline center operations — has had six key ROI benefits for MSHA over the past 19 years, including:
