Cottage Health cuts ribbon on new Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital

Santa Barbara, Calif.-based Cottage Health has opened a new 152,000-square-foot hospital in Golenta, Calif.

Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital cost roughly $126 million to construct, $14 million of which was raised by the local community. Cottage Health President and CEO Ron Werft acknowledged many of the volunteers and donors who made the facility a reality at a recent ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony.

The Golenta Valley facility includes 52 private inpatient rooms, an emergency department with a totally of 20 treatment rooms, six surgical suites, a center for wound management, a center for orthopedics and an oral and maxillofacial surgery program.
