Indeed.com, a job search website, analyzed millions of U.S. job postings on its search engine from June 2015 to June 2018 for the report. Indeed.com identified titles in which more than 20 percent of online postings included “artificial intelligence” or “machine learning” in the description to determine relevant jobs, and from there derived information about the salary and location, according to Bloomberg.
Here are the top 10 metropolitan areas with the highest concentration of AI and machine learning jobs in the U.S., according to Indeed.com:
1. New York City: 11.6 percent
2. San Francisco: 9.6 percent
3. San Jose: 9.2 percent
4. Washington, D.C.: 7.9 percent
5. Boston: 6.1 percent
6. Seattle: 5.9 percent
7. Chicago: 5.9 percent
8. Los Angeles: 4.1 percent
9. Dallas-Fort Worth: 2.5 percent
10. Philadelphia: 2.4 percent
