Microsoft, SilverCloud Health partner to enhance digital mental healthcare with AI

SilverCloud Health, an international digital mental health platform with U.S. headquarters in Boston, unveiled an ongoing partnership with Microsoft to apply artificial intelligence to SilverCloud's care delivery.

The companies have been conducting research together for 18 months to explore how machine learning and other AI technology can improve the digital delivery of personalized mental healthcare. Microsoft's technology enables SilverCloud to offer earlier interventions and ensure patients receive the right support in the most effective format as soon as they need it.

SilverCloud's platform is based in cognitive behavioral therapy, with dozens of treatment programs, including those addressing depression, anxiety, sleep, resilience and chronic illnesses such as diabetes. The platform, backed by years of clinical and academic research and many published papers, is currently used by more than 250 healthcare providers around the world.
