MemorialCare Innovation Fund joins $7M funding for nurse engagement AI platform

Laudio, a software startup developing an automated, personalized platform to improve engagement between nurse managers and their teams, announced on Dec. 10 the close of its Series A financing round.

Existing investor MemorialCare Innovation Fund, the venture arm of Long Beach, Calif.-based MemorialCare Health System, joined the $7.3 million round. Funding was led by InHealth Ventures and .406 Ventures.

The Laudio platform is currently used by hospitals including Boston Medical Center and Urbana, Ill.-based Carle Foundation Hospital. The platform provides algorithm-driven, real-time suggestions to enhance interactions between nursing leaders and their teams, with goals of reducing nurse turnover and burnout, increasing staff engagement and improving quality, safety and patient satisfaction.
