JPMorgan Chase awards AI research grants to universities, PhD students

JPMorgan Chase distributed 47 financial grants for artificial intelligence research to university faculty and PhD students, Reuters reports.

Recipients of the financial awards will apply the funds toward AI and machine learning research in risk management and digital assistants, among other areas. JPMorgan Chase declined to comment on the grants’ financial worth.

JPMorgan Chase recently partnered with Amazon and Berkshire Hathaway on a joint healthcare venture called Haven, which aims to improve care and make services more affordable for employees.
