Below are six digitization trends coming from AI and blockchain, according to Information Week.

1. Blockchain digitizes shipments and supply chain: With blockchain, companies can more transparently view shipments and how products move about a supply chain. In 2018, IBM and Maersk partnered to develop a blockchain platform for global trade.

2. Learning from EHRs with help from AI: With nearly all hospitals implementing EHRs, different algorithms and AI software can help better use the information to make predictions, such as rates of inpatient mortality and readmissions.

3. Banks depending on blockchain for various applications: The financial industry has been the biggest adopter of blockchain. A 2017 survey found American’s prefer digital methods, with majority choosing to bank via computers and mobile platforms. Blockchain brings added security to these forms of banking.

4. AI and blockchain used for more current business contracts: While blockchain already supports smart contracts, experts predict AI and decentralized ledgers will soon work together to provide real-time updated contracts.

5. Music distribution improvements with help from AI and blockchain technologies: Experts predict streaming medical platforms will convert to using AI and blockchain solutions. MusicLife is one company that uses AI and blockchain to allow listeners the chance to invest in their favorite artists.

6. Blockchain and AI streamline online shipping: From tracking shipments to promoting products most suitable for a shopper, blockchain and AI have unlimited potential in e-commerce. Some businesses are even accepting cryptocurrencies.
