Dr. Amar currently serves as director of thoracic anesthesia at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and professor of anesthesiology at Weill Medical College of Cornell University, both in New York City. He has published more than 45 peer-reviewed scientific articles in the field of cardiothoracic anesthesia.
Dr. Amar received his medical training at Loyola University of Chicago Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, Ill., and completed his residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx and Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City.
The company intends to recruit additional physicians specializing in surgical lung isolation to the scientific advisory board over the next several months, according to ETView CEO William Edelman.
