The initiative seeks to identify and support AI-driven solutions that improve patient care and streamline healthcare operations across Connecticut, according to a Feb. 18 news release.
The competition, led by Yale New Haven Health’s Center for Health Care Innovation, will provide funding for up to eight winning proposals, with a top prize of $100,000. Participants will also receive mentorship and strategic guidance from industry experts to help refine their innovations.
The competition is open to employees and faculty affiliated with hospitals and health systems in Connecticut. Several institutions, including Connecticut Children’s Medical Center (Hartford), Gaylord Hospital (Wallingford), Nuvance Health (Danbury), Hartford HealthCare and UConn Health (Farmington), have committed to participating.
