The organization will be UnitedHealthcare’s first primary care, physician-led ACO in northern Texas, according to the statement.
The ACO aims to improve patient satisfaction, patient health outcomes and reduce the cost of care. Physicians will be paid incentives if they meet specific, evidence-based quality metrics, like improved hospital readmission rates, increased patient satisfaction or more cost savings.
