Florida Blue, Baptist Health to launch ACO

Health insurer Florida Blue and Pensacola, Fla.-based Baptist Health Care are forming an accountable care organization aimed at improving quality of care and cutting healthcare costs for patients in northwest Florida.

The ACO will launch on Oct. 1.  Physicians from the Baptist Medical Group will participate and will be rewarded for improving their patients’ health outcomes while reducing unnecessary spending.Florida Blue
