Baptist Health and Florida Blue previously created a cancer treatment accountable care organization, and the new agreement expands the ACO to Baptist Health’s other programs. The expansion will also add 679 physicians to the ACO, according to a South Florida Business Journal report.
Under the new ACO, care coordination will be improved between Baptist Health South Florida, Baptist Health Quality Network and Florida Blue, which will result in improved efficiency and reduced costs.
