The system has joined a Medicare ACO to better coordinate care, improve patients’ health and reign in costs.

ACO Financial Consultant Ross Manson told Upper Michigan’s Source the ACO is “trying to put more wellness and activation of different care coordination efforts that are really, in some ways, minimizing some of the services that the traditional hospitals have provided in the past, so providing more in prevention and wellness versus the reactiveness of how patients have accessed healthcare in the past.”
