Cigna, Austin Regional Clinic partner for collaborative care

Cigna and Austin (Texas) Regional Clinic announced Monday the launch of a collaborative care agreement, similar to an accountable care organization.

Under the agreement, the organizations will work to improve care coordination, access to care, affordability and the patient satisfaction of more than 15,000 Cigna beneficiaries who receive care from Austin Regional Clinic’s 335 physicians.

This collaborative care initiative marks Cigna’s thirteenth in Texas and it is one of 114 across the country.
