AMVI Medical Group Joins ApolloMed ACO

AMVI Medical Group, a network of more than 50 primary care physicians and 120 specialists based in Orange County, Calif., has contracted to participate in ApolloMed ACO, the Medicare accountable care organization of Glendale, Calif.-based Apollo Medical Holdings.

AMVI will provide ACO patients with high-quality care focused on better outcomes and lower costs. ApolloMed will share clinical data and work with AMVI providers to coordinate care and manage high-risk patients.

"Participating in ApolloMed ACO will allow AMVI to remain at the forefront of healthcare reform," Co Pham, MD, CEO and president of AMVI, said in the news release. "Our medical group will be able to provide improved transitions of care between the inpatient and outpatient settings and improved population management."

ApolloMed ACO has been on a growth spurt recently: The ACO added Westminster, Calif.-based Bolsa Medical Group; Santa Ana, Calif.-based Integrated Healthcare Holdings and Garden Grove, Calif.-based Physician Partners IPA to its network recently.
