Aetna, Virtua Health team up for ACO, health plan

Aetna and Marlton, N.J.-based Virtua Health will collaborate to form an accountable care organization and develop co-branded commercial health plans for businesses and consumers.

Supported by Virtua Physician Partners, a clinically integrated network of community physicians affiliated with Virtua, the organizations will roll out the Aetna Whole Health – Virtua plan later this year in South Jersey.

Virtua President and CEO Richard P. Miller showed excitement about the partnership. “We are pleased to introduce this agreement with Aetna and develop a shared vision of healthcare,” he said.
