The ACO’s commercial plan, to be called Aetna Whole Health-Gateway Health, is in-network with Gateway Health, Memorial Hospital of Martinsville & Henry County (Va.) and Danville (Va.) Regional Medical Center. In-network physicians and hospitals will offer all levels of health services. The ACO service area includes the cities of Danville and Martinsville, and Henry and Pittsylvania Counties.
Aetna and Gateway Health’s plan will be offered to large- and small-group customers this fall. Plans will take effect Jan. 1. Aetna and Gateway Health will also offer an individual insurance plan called Aetna Leap that will be available on the federal exchange for the 2017 open enrollment period.
