Aetna Whole Health is a collection of benefits plans that provide members with access to coordinated care from physicians and facilities in the Baptist Health System and the HealthTexas Medical Group.
Under the new ACO, Baptist Health System and HealthTexas Medical Group will provide service to Aetna members through a combined five hospitals, 42 primary care offices and more than 900 physicians in the San Antonio area.
The goal of the ACO is to provide coordinated care and better health outcomes while cutting costs.
The agreement features a new payment model to reward Baptist Health System and HealthTexas Medical Group for meeting quality, efficiency and patient satisfaction measures.
