Norwegian American Hospital Foundation hosts fundraiser for mobile dental health

The Chicago-based Norwegian American Hospital Foundation hosted its inaugural “Power of Community” benefit on June 25. Nearly 300 guests attended to support the hospital’s new Pediatric Dental Van, which meets a critical gap in pediatric healthcare services in the region.

The money raised at the benefit will fund the operation of the dental van for nearly a year, providing restorative services to more than 2,000 children at schools throughout Chicago’s West Side, where access to dental care is scarce.

“As a result of the dedication of our benefit volunteers, donors and event sponsors, we were able to host an extremely successful fundraiser,” said José R. Sánchez, president and CEO of Norwegian American Hospital. “The support we receive has an incredible impact on the communities we serve, providing funds to help us advance our mobile healthcare services and through our new pediatric dental van, provide more dental screenings and oral health education.”
