The new space for family members and visitors of surgery patients will be located on the second floor of the hospital, near the hospital’s cafeteria, and will feature views of the Mineral Springs Park Lagoon.
The $1.1 million project will necessitate the temporary closure of one of the hospital’s parking lots. Any patients who may be affected by the construction will receive instructions and updates during their pre-registration process.
Construction on the surgical department addition is slated for completion in October.
