Three top executives at Universal Health Services, including its CEO, CFO, and executive vice president of behavioral health services, received higher overall compensation in 2024, compared to 2023, according to an April 3 proxy statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The King of Prussia, Pa.-based health system reported a strong financial year, with operating income rising to $1.7 billion (10.6% margin) from $1.2 billion (8.2% margin) in 2023. Net income grew to $1.1 billion from $717.8 million the prior year.
UHS operates 28 acute care hospitals, 331 inpatient behavioral health facilities, 60 outpatient sites, an insurance offering, and a physician network across 39 states, Washington, D.C., the U.K., and Puerto Rico.
