The layoffs will occur at St. John’s Pleasant Valley Hospital in Camarillo and St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard, according to the report. Officials declined to specify how many layoffs will occur at each facility.
Rita O’Connor, director of communications for Dignity Health, said the system began the layoff process by freezing open positions and expects “a variety of positions will be impacted, including both nurses and non-nurses,” according to the report.
The layoffs will be effective Jan. 31.
