Hospital Associations Sponsor Hurricane Sandy Fund for Healthcare Employees

Several hospital associations on the East Coast are sponsoring the Hurricane Sandy Health Care Employee Relief Fund to benefit healthcare employees affected by the hurricane disaster in late October, according to an AHA News Now report.

Sponsors of the fund include the Greater New York Hospital Association, Healthcare Association of New York State, New Jersey Hospital Association, Nassau-Suffolk Hospital Council, Northern Metropolitan Hospital Association and United Hospital Fund.

The United Hospital Fund will administer and distribute the funds to affected healthcare employees. The American Hospital Association has already donated $100,000 to the fund. To make a donation or find out more about the fund, click here.
