CFO Lance Mason, hired by Mr. McGill in 2016, will take over as CEO March 31, with the month overlap ensuring a smooth transition.

A two-term CEO, Mr. McGill first served as CEO of Livingston Regional from 1993 to 2008 and was reappointed in November 2015. He has helmed the hospital for 25 years over the course of the two terms.

During his tenure at Livingston — first as assistant administrator/director of finance and more recently as CFO — Mr. Mason has assisted with the hospital’s strategic planning and budgeting, managed staffing and productivity targets, and overseen operations of Livingston Regional’s five physician clinics.

The 114-bed hospital, part of Brentwood, Tenn.-based Lifepoint Health, serves five counties in central Tennessee and southern Kentucky.
