125 drugs increased in price in Q3

In the third quarter of 2019, 125 drugs increased in price by an average of 6.7 percent, according to a new quarterly report from drug savings website GoodRx.

In total, 63 drugmakers raised their prices. Most drug prices were raised July 1.

The two drugs that saw the highest price jumps were potassium supplement Effer-K, which increased 34.5 percent, and cancer treatment Proleukin, which increased 20 percent. 

Outside of the 125 drugs that saw list price increases, the average list price for all prescription drugs dropped by 0.6 percent.
