Former employee Charles Thurman filed a complaint with the Cook County Circuit Court March 19, alleging the health system collected and stored his fingerprints for use with a biometric employee punch clock without his consent, according to the report.
Mr. Thurman also alleged in the lawsuit NorthShore did not inform his as to why his fingerprint had been captured or how long the system planned to store that information.
The lawsuit seeks $6,000 in damages from NorthShore, the report states.
