The beloved golden retriever made his last rounds in August because he started experiencing various health problems due to old age.
“I always said he was born to be a therapy dog,” Judith Bonifaci, Abe’s owner, told WTNH. “From the moment I met him, I could tell he was an old soul who had a special purpose in life.”
Abe will spend the rest of his years relaxing at home.
