CHI St. Alexius Health Carrington (N.D.) Health Center. CHI St. Alexius Health Carrington is a 25-bed hospital that began providing care in 1916 as Carrington Hospital. The hospital includes two rural health centers and has implemented community outreach programs for obesity, childhood services and youth alcohol abuse. In April 2016, Carrington joined Bismarck, N.D.-based CHI St. Alexius Health, a regional system comprised of a tertiary hospital and seven CAHs. The National Rural Health Association named Carrington a Top 20 Critical Access Hospital in 2017.
