Central Montana Medical Center (Lewistown). This nonprofit, 25-bed hospital is an important part of the economic and social fabric of its community, with the nearest hospital located more than 100 miles from Lewiston. It provides a full range of services, from rehabilitation to intensive care, and earned a Small Health Care Provider grant from HHS in 2017, under which it will receive three years of federal funding for quality improvement initiatives. CMMC was named a Top 20 Critical Access Hospital by the National Rural Health Association in 2017.
