Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital (St. Louis Park, Minn.). The 426-bed Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital implemented several initiatives to reduce the hospital’s environmental impact and improve energy efficiency within the last year. The hospital surpassed its goal of reducing paper use by 10 percent, achieving a 16 percent reduction. Park Nicollet Methodist also initiated a pharmaceutical recycling program and accomplished two energy efficiency projects resulting in an annual savings of $50,000. Practice Greenhealth honored the hospital with a 2017 Top 25 Environmental Excellence Award.
